After ten years doing wedding photography, I decided to make a list on Weddings venues in Minneapolis !
Minneapolis and St Paul are both wonderful cities full of emerging art, diversity, and historic buildings. If you just started on your wedding planning venture, this guide will be a great start!
A beautiful and delicate mansion with many different spaces and light conditions.
The exterior limestone and their entrance are two of my favorite spots, but I also like the space inside with all the woodwork! Their ballroom is spacious and has an exit to the street which is very convenient. All of their spaces are in different floors so the stairs and elevator will be used by your guests a lot. Cocktail hour tends to happen in the Dining Room and spills outside to the yard easily, which is perfect for your guests to roam. The getting ready room, is a gorgeous and bright room with gorgeous design.
Have you ever wanted to be inside a 1920’s movie? That’s what the Semple Mansion feels like! With a wonderful set of different spaces, the mansion can be your magical place. From the start with their regal entrance, a grand foyer, a stunning staircase, and my favorite room: their ballroom. Renaissance style meets Minneapolis!
A mansion that looks and feels like a castle! the Van Dusen Mansion is an incredible venue with booth indoor and outdoor spaces!
The American Swedish Institute is a fairytale like place with intricate details and magnificent spaces. It has been my favorite as far as Minneapolis Mansions go! The Historic Turnblad Mansion is incredible and the Contemporary Nelson Cultural Center is also great modern space to have your Big Day!

Brick and beer have a lot of pull to me! Even with brick this venue is filled with light and character. It can fit many people comfortably and it can be made to look adorable!
The Rooftop access also gives them extra points in my book!
Day Block Event Center Wedding Gallery
A more modern wedding venue in the middle of Uptown! I love that every time I see this wedding venue, no matter the season, it looks amazing! The staff is amazing and very helpful, which helps to have a successful day!

In the middle of the Northloop in Minneapolis and with a ton of character, the Hewing hotel is a historic building that has been perfectly modernized and designed. It is a perfect venue for a small ceremony. This works specially well if you have guests coming out of town and you want to introduce them to one of the most fun areas in Minneapolis.
The rooms are gorgeous so you can get ready in the most beautiful room (and spend the night there too!) and there is a bath tub in the roof. There is a roof that is absolutely perfect for photos!
Gorgeous and modern event center in the trendy North loop neighborhood in Minneapolis. Not only are they excellent for weddings , they are great with lighting and sound, which makes it a wonderful party!
This cozy chapel is tucked away in Lakewood Memorial and it’s incredibly gorgeous.

Cabin vibes in the middle of the city! This rustic fireplace room at Theodore Wirth Park is gorgeous! The nature area surrounding it is also a favorite of mine, as it has many of the vegetation you love to see when going upnorth. The venue is perfect to light with candles and a touch of green, not many decorations are necessary! The wood work and huge windows are a great touch for your ceremony!

If you like an industrial, modern feel, check out the Machine Shop in downtown Minneapolis ! What an amazing space!
Rock, steel, brick and industrial details all around. The museum is built in the ruins of a Mill and it’s absolutely gorgeous and modern inside.
Currently managed by D’amico Catering, the venue can hold up to 500 people, 250 seated.
Mill City Museum Wedding Gallery
This industrial and modern warehouse is a perfect white canvas for your wedding day! They have both an indoor and outdoor space perfect for intimate ceremonies.
A beautiful indoor and outdoor space overlooking the city. Industrial and centric makes this space unique.
Nicollet Island Pavillion Wedding Gallery
The landing is stunning! A beautiful ball room inside and gorgeous getting ready space.
There are multiple photo spots around the golf course too.

This venue might be more classical and have a vintage feel to it, but it allows for lots of creative shots!
A beautiful country club with plenty of colors in the fall / Minnesota Valley Country Club Wedding Gallery
The Como Zoo and Conservatory is one of my favorite places (not only venues) in all of Minnesota because it’s Conservatory is green all year round. The Conservatory is a little tight in space so it works best with smaller ceremonies, but they can also host your ceremony in another of their green rooms, or outside in their beautiful gardens!
If you love the greener seasons, the arboretum is perfect for you! The arboretum is located not too far from the cities and it has so many different spaces for weddings!

I grew up in the tropical lands of Costa Rica, where I met the love of my life, and we started our lives in Minneapolis after years of long distance! Together we have the most spunky little one.
My photos are all about the genuine smiles, the connection between people and the LOVE!
