Landmark Center Saint Paul Wedding – Amanda & Nick

Wedding Stories

Amanda and Nick had the perfect day for their wedding.  The sun was shining and the sky was bright blue and dotted with wisps of white clouds.  The inside of the Landmark Center is full of rich colors and dark woods, and Amanda looked absolutely elegant in her gown, surrounded by such beautiful architecture.

Their ceremony was an intimate affair, low-key and relaxed, with their family and closest friends.  They included their own take on the “Breaking the Glass” tradition.  Instead of stepping on a glass, they both stepped on origami horses representing the Four Horsemen of the Marriage Apocalypse as described by a marriage and family researcher they both respect.

While everyone else got ready for the reception at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, I stole Amanda and Nick away for some portraits in some of the beautiful gardens.  We spent time in the Palm Dome and the Sunken Garden before the rest of the wedding party joined us outside on the lawn.  The conservatory building is truly gorgeous inside and out!

The reception was just as relaxed and fun as the ceremony had been.  There were different board games on every table for their guests to play, as well as centerpieces created by the bride’s mother – she did Amanda’s hair too!  Nick and Amanda danced to In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel for their first dance as husband and wife, then spent the rest of the evening celebrating with their friends and family.

I am so honored that Amanda and Nick asked me to be a part of their special day, and I wish them many happy years together!
