About Semple Mansion

Nestled in the heart of Minneapolis, The Semple Mansion is truly a Twin Cities classic. From the elegance of its ceremony spaces to the intimate charm of each room, this historic gem combines timeless and modern, giving couples a truly picturesque and unique wedding space!

The building was originally built in the late 19th century, as a gift from Frank to his wife Anne Semple (who doesn’t love a romantic mansion gift!?) and it was later bought by new owners and restored in 2007. As soon as you walk in you are filled with elegance and charm, as every room is filled with character, from the getting-ready suite to the staircase, the grand foyer, and the amazing third-floor ballroom. It is also plenty spacious inside, and with so many rooms to roam around, it makes it a perfect place for Minnesota’s colder fall and winter days.

Is there on-site accommodation?

Semple Mansion does not have on-site accommodation but there is a range of hotels within a 10-minute drive.

Are there any outdoor spaces? 

There are no outdoor event spaces but a range of beautiful indoor areas to use for your special day!

Can we have a DJ or Band?

Yes! The Grand Ballroom has a dedicated stage area for your chosen DJ or Band to set up. 

What’s included in the bridal suite?

The bridal suite includes large tables, individual stations with mirrors for each member of the bridal party to use, a large dressing mirror, and a private dressing room.
