I met with Riley and Matt on a perfect summer afternoon for their Minnehaha Falls Couples Photo Session ! They even brought their furry best pal!
They had chosen Minnehaha Falls as it represents a lot of what they love: Minneapolis, nature, water! I couldn’t have been more excited as they both live out of town and I know Minnehaha Falls so well! 🙂 Photographing Riley and Matt in the start of their forever story was such a wonderful moment!
As we entered the park, the green leaves and the distant sound of cascading water welcomed us! It’s such a big fall! The fall is truly a natural marvel, standing tall at 53 feet tall and about 30 feet wide!
The air was warm so the nice feeling of water nearby made these two really happy! They laughed and twirled and were truly naturals for pictures!!
As the sun did its thing and the golden light started to peak around, we went up for some photos with their puppy! Riley and Matt met over chemistry class in school, and I kept thinking of how good of a love story the have! Now living in a different state together, graduated with amazing jobs, and spending an afternoon loving each other up! The park played a fun role of letting us have a perfect backdrop for their story, and me being their professional third wheel for the afternoon.
Packing up my camera that evening, I thought, “Well, Minnehaha Falls, you’ve just become a legendary storyteller.” And there it was—a love tale told in giggles, whispers, and the roar of the falls.
So happy I got to photograph their love story !!
