What a great day was for this Theodore Wirth Chalet Wedding in Minneapolis / Golden ValleyÂ
The venue : Theodore Wirth Chalet Fireplace room
The rustic charm of the Wirth Chalet reminds of both a cabin or the North shore wood look! It is however, very conveniently close to the Twin Cities. It is part of the Theodore Wirth Regional Park (if you haven’t been during the winter, it is the perfect place to sled!)
The Fireplace room is where the magic happens, it is both elegant and full of character . When you find a venue that is so charming, you basically don’t have to think much about decoration! It was in the Fireplace room where Steph and Alex held both the Ceremony and the Reception for 80+ guests. The terrace was were they enjoyed the fun cocktail hour both inside and outside.
While the couple was concerned it was going to be a dark venue, I found the light from the windows to be directional and moody, they added candles in the fireplace and stairs which enhanced the romantic feeling of their event. We do think the getting ready room is very dark and small, so if you have the option of getting ready in another area, we would totally recommend it!
The bridge is a great spot for first look and couple photos and so are the gorgeous woods around the area. It is a golf area too , so you will want to be aware of golfers!
Spring Wirth Chalet Wedding
Their Spring wedding day had just the right amount of clouds, and the wind was holding back for us to enjoy the surrounding woods around the Wirth Chalet.
The Ceremony took place in the Fireplace Room , with hints of sunshine highlighting the room and the beautiful people in it. When Alex first saw Stephanie with her lovely dress, he smiled and took a step back to see her, then hugged her and then hugged her again. It was a lovely moment!Â
Their ceremony was officiated by a friend and adorned with a live song from their nephew! Â
During the reception, the toasts shared were full of stories, and everyone enjoyed them .  Later, They danced their first Dance song to “All Around You” by Sturgill Simpson, shortly after, everyone joined them and danced the night away and had the most fun dance.
It was such an honor to be part of your wonderful day!!! I wish you the best in this journey together.
