When looking at different locations, the couple wanted to do something during the fall! I suggested a few locations that would be fun! A few of them were open spaces where we could do their photos and have fun . What a great plan! I had always wanted to do  an Apple Orchard Photoshoot before so it was perfect fit when they chose the Apple farm!

Planning our apple orchard photos during the Minnesota Fall was the best time!

Isaac and Lara were so incredibly fun to work with, it was a great time running around the apple trees taking photos and they were so natural. It’s so easy to see they are in love in the way they look at each other and laugh, always connected and happy!

Apple Farm Photo Tips

After this engagement session in an apple orchard, I love that my couples and other couples have ideas and are prepared for their cute shoots.

1- Get a permit or find out the permit situation : Some apple farms are okay with just a phone call 🙂 Like this one! Aamodts  has great apples, great grounds, including a winery and they are so welcoming to photographers!

2- Plan your shoot around the golden hour: The best light is shining right around behind the trees, so my tips would be to find and follow the golden light, even as it turns kind of interesting !

3- Have fun: Yes, I also want a picture in the orchard sitting among apples, but truth is, the background of the photoshoot is just that! Make sure your photographer , ejem, me! knows how to show your personalities and move around the beautiful location of your apple orchard photoshoot!
