This Courthouse wedding in Minneapolis, MN was family centered, romantic, and fun! We loved how their family joined them in celebration, starting with their ceremony at the Hennepin County Courts, to their intimate dinner at a close by Restaurant later in the day, where fireworks from the Winter festival lit up the night.
Courthouse Elopement in Minneapolis
Thomas and Mary had been planning their wedding for over a year when they decided that getting married at the courthouse was what they really wanted! They had a lovely adventure instead, and celebrated their love in the city they love and cherish.
What the couple decided to do for their Courthouse Wedding
We were lucky to have sunshine in December and just a little bit of snow in the ground. They had a special and intimate ceremony at the Minneapolis Courthouse with their family, including babies! The courthouse judge was phenomenal and the big windows in the floor allowed for wonderful light to come through! They even used their own backs to sign the marriage certificate!
After the ceremony, we rode around for portraits in the city of Minneapolis. Since it was the beginning of winter, they weren’t big crowds in the Stone Arch Bridge and we were able to jump and hug in it!
That night, they had the most delicious meal at 4Bells in Minneapolis. The park was decorated and lit up for the Christmas festival and it was wonderful! We even had fireworks during the evening.
The speeches were very emotional and moving, and they were just having a blast as a newly married couple.
