Minnesota has such a wide range of wedding venues, which is honestly one of my favorite things about photographing weddings here. Some spaces feel modern and architectural, others feel historic and layered, and some are deeply connected to nature and the landscape around them.

One of my favorite parts of this venue is that the courtyard ceremonies here feel especially beautiful and intimate, while the combination of the Turnblad Mansion indoor and front spaces creates a wedding day atmosphere that feels warm, elegant, and incredibly intentional.

Cedarhurst Mansion in Cottage Grove, MN

Cedarhurst Mansion is one of the most exciting new wedding venues coming to Minnesota. With grand white columns, a restored rose garden, historic architecture, and a stunning new atrium filled with natural light, the property feels more like a private estate than a traditional wedding venue.
What stood out to me most during my tour was how transportive it felt. There are very few venues in Minnesota that capture the romance and elegance of the historic estates couples often save from Charleston, Newport, or Europe. Every corner of the property feels thoughtful, timeless, and full of potential for beautiful photographs.
LakeWood Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis, MN

Lakewood Memorial Chapel feels unlike almost any other wedding venue in Minneapolis. Between the architecture, gardens, and reflective pool, the entire space has a quiet and deeply romantic atmosphere that feels especially beautiful for couples wanting something timeless and artistic.
One of my favorite parts of weddings here is how peaceful the property feels throughout the day, even while being right in the city.
Minneapolis Institute of Art
Minneapolis, MN 55404
The Minneapolis Institute of Art has always felt incredibly immersive to me as a wedding venue. The architecture, gallery spaces, and dramatic interiors create a wedding atmosphere that feels elegant and creative without feeling overly formal.
I especially love this venue for couples who want their wedding to feel visually intentional and a little different from a traditional ballroom experience.
Avalon
St Paul, MN
Avalon has a timeless charm that immediately makes a wedding feel special. The historic architecture, elegant ballroom, and warm, inviting spaces create a celebration that feels romantic and refined without feeling crowded. It’s a beautiful choice for couples who love classic architecture but still want a wedding day that feels relaxed, personal, and full of personality.

Machine Shop
Minneapolis, MN 55414
Machine Shop has always felt like one of the most visually iconic wedding venues in Minneapolis to me. Between the giant windows, industrial textures, and the way light moves through the space during the day, it creates an atmosphere that feels dramatic, relaxed, and incredibly photogenic all at once.
Paikka
St Paul, MN
Paikka has a clean industrial atmosphere that works especially well for couples wanting a modern Minneapolis wedding that still feels warm and personal. The indoor and outdoor spaces flow together really naturally, and the white walls and open layout give couples a lot of flexibility design-wise.
It’s one of those venues that can shift beautifully between minimal, editorial, colorful, or more relaxed wedding styles without losing its character.
The Luminaire
Minneapolis, MN 55414
The Luminaire has a softer and more minimal atmosphere than many industrial venues in Minneapolis while still keeping that open warehouse feel. The tall ceilings, white walls, and natural light make it especially good for couples wanting something clean, modern, and flexible design-wise.
I also love how airy the venue feels throughout the day, especially once guests begin filling the space.
Hutton House
Medicine Lake, MN 55441
Hutton House has remained one of the most loved modern wedding venues near Minneapolis for a reason. The space feels clean and elevated while still warm and welcoming, with beautiful natural light and a layout that keeps the entire wedding day feeling relaxed and connected.
One of my favorite parts of the venue is the fireplace ceremony space, especially during winter weddings when the atmosphere feels extra cozy and intimate.

The Whim
Northeast Minneapolis, MN
The Whim has such a welcoming atmosphere from the moment people walk in. Between the skylights, large windows, and softer modern interiors, the space feels bright and intentional without feeling overly polished or formal.
One of my favorite parts of weddings here is how personal every celebration tends to feel. The venue really allows couples to make the space their own while still keeping a cohesive and elevated atmosphere.

The Lowlands

The Lowlands brings a completely different atmosphere from many traditional wedding venues in Minnesota. The combination of natural textures, warm wood tones, modern architecture, and skyline views gives the space a more relaxed editorial feel that still feels incredibly elevated.
I especially love how much variety the venue offers throughout the day, from the terrace and ceremony spaces to the lounge areas downstairs.
Urban Daisy
Minneapolis, MN
Urban Daisy has a bright and welcoming atmosphere that feels very true to Northeast Minneapolis. The clean industrial design, large windows, and tall ceilings give couples a lot of flexibility stylistically while still keeping the space feeling warm and approachable.
I especially love this venue for weddings that lean colorful, modern, and guest-focused without feeling overly formal. The natural light throughout the space makes the entire day feel open and relaxed from the moment people arrive.

Equestria West quickly became one of my favorite newer wedding venues in Minnesota. I love how it balances a more modern architectural feel with the natural surroundings around the property, especially once the outdoor spaces start filling with guests during cocktail hour.
The venue feels bright, open, and relaxed throughout the day, while still keeping that elevated atmosphere Bavaria Downs is known for. Between the woodsy ceremony spaces, courtyard, and clean modern interiors, it works especially well for couples wanting something elegant that still feels welcoming and connected to nature.

Como Conservatory has always been one of the most immersive wedding venues in Minnesota to me. Between the greenery, glass architecture, and seasonal flowers, the venue creates a wedding atmosphere that feels lush and romantic year-round.
I especially love the Sunken Garden ceremonies here and how soft and diffused the natural light feels throughout the conservatory spaces.

The Arboretum is one of those venues that feels completely different depending on the season, which honestly makes every wedding there feel unique. Between the gardens, walking paths, greenhouse spaces, and open landscape, there’s an incredible amount of variety throughout the property.

The Catalyst by Nature Link has such a relaxed and immersive atmosphere for a wedding weekend. Being surrounded by the lake, cabins, and Northwoods landscape makes the entire experience feel slower and more connected in a really beautiful way.
I especially love how elegant and naturally the wedding weekend flows here, where guests genuinely settle in and experience the celebration together instead of just attending it for a few hours.
