Minneapolis and Minnesota Wedding Venues
Over the last decade photographing weddings throughout Minnesota, I’ve found myself especially drawn to venues that feel thoughtful from the moment people walk in. Spaces with strong or dramatic natural light, interesting architecture, and a layout that allows the wedding to feel connected and easy.
The venues in this guide are modern, editorial, and design-forward. Some are industrial and architectural, others softer and more nature-focused, but all of them share a sense of atmosphere that works especially well for couples wanting a wedding that feels elevated while still personal and welcoming.
As a Minneapolis wedding photographer, these are some of the venues I consistently love photographing in, both visually and for the experience they create throughout the day.
I also tend to find that these kinds of venues pair especially well with thoughtful planning and intentional design, which helps the entire experience feel more cohesive and relaxed from start to finish.

One thing I’ve noticed photographing weddings in Minnesota
One of the things I love most about photographing weddings in Minnesota is how different these spaces can feel from one another. Not two weddings are the same, even in the same space! Some are modern and architectural, some are historic and layered, and others feel quiet and deeply connected to nature, but the venues that tend to stand out most are usually the ones that feel intentional from the start.
The best wedding venues are rarely just the ones that look beautiful in photos. They’re the ones that allow people to settle in, move naturally through the day, and actually experience everything around them.
Thankfully, Minneapolis and Minnesota have some really incredible spaces for that.
